For one year I photographed everything that came in and out of my body. I started this project on March 20, 2003, the first day of spring, and finished on March 19, 2004, the last day of winter. The piece consists of almost 7000 photographs, representing a complete visual record of everything taken in and excreted by one human in one year. For me this creation was an end in itself, encompassing performance, discipline, the absurd, the mundane, time and repetition. I titled it 35, my age when the project began.

When each photograph was taken the date and time was recorded. Using this metadata, 35 is presented here as an online simulation. Images began uploading on March 20, 2023 and will continue to do so until March 19, 2024 mirroring the timing and sequence of events documented 20 years ago.
